Knights & Roses
The goal of Knights and Roses is first and foremost to make disciples of Jesus Christ; to nourish children’s faith and hope in His wonderful grace and gifts of forgiveness and life everlasting, to equip them with the full of armor of the Lord enabling them to engage in our world today as His chosen people. To accomplish this, your child will learn the true stories of God’s work in our world as recorded in Holy Scriptures. They will memorize important Bible verses and truths to carry with them wherever they are called. They will enjoy games and team challenges to foster fellowship among one another. Finally, they will complete service projects to practice Jesus’ command to love our neighbors as ourselves.
The metaphors of the knights and rose are used to provide inspiration to God’s children. Our children were made and redeemed by our Lord. Therefore they are precious in His eyes; valiant as knights, beautiful and compassionate as roses. While learning to enjoy this attitude of God’s toward them, they will be inspired to aspire to be the very best Disciples of Christ in their current vocation as sons and daughters, neighbors, classmates and friends. But also this time of formation has an eye toward their futures as mothers and fathers, workers and leaders, and whatever vocation our Lord will soon call them to fulfill in their community.
